I’ve been following Elin Kling’s blog, Style by Kling, for quite some time now. The girl just can’t do any wrong. Case in point: simple, sexy, stylish all-black outfit with just a pop of color in her chartreuse beanie.

Last week, we took a little jaunt over to the OC Mart Mix for Riviera Magazine’s To Live & Dine Chef’s Challenge. For those of you who live in Orange County and consider yourself a foodaphile, you shoulda been there.
At Riviera’s biggest culinary event of the year, 22 of the top chefs in the area competed for the crowd’s favorite dish of the evening. We were able to sample the restaurants’ signature dishes, and I was blown away by the talent there. It also gave us the opportunity to get to know the cuisines of restaurants I’d otherwise know nothing about.

Growing up, I always loved waking up on Saturday mornings to find my mom making blueberry pancakes. Over the years, though, I’ve fallen out of the tradition, and rarely, if ever, make or eat pancakes. I think the thought of the boxed powder pancakes has just put me off. That is, until, I discovered 3-ingredient, gluten-free, delicious pancakes. (I used some spices, but all you really need is the eggs, bananas and oil.)
So tasty, so easy and so healthy. Check out the recipe below.

I love me a Pumpkin Spice latte… sometimes, a little too much. This autumn (somewhat of a joke here in Southern California), they have become a part of my daily commute, and at nearly $5 a pop, it’s becoming a little problem.
Luckily, on this lazy, cozy Sunday morning, I had all of the ingredients to make my own “PSL.” Here’s what you need to do to make your own pumpkin spice latte, and trust me, they’re much easier than they sound. (The original recipe can be found at Farmgirl Gourmet.)
